What is the job about?
The CNC Operator/Programmer will be responsible for operating computer numeric control (CNC) and auxiliary equipment in a manufacturing plant. This role involves everything from setup to operation, producing finished parts from metals, plastics, and other materials.
This is a full-time afternoon shift position.
What will you do?
- Maintain and organize the workshop and tools in optimal condition.
- Execute all operations required to produce parts, from raw material handling to final finishing.
- Program and operate a 5-axis CNC machine and perform regular maintenance.
- Provide support to the process and mechanical engineering team.
- Use various software tools to ensure product and process traceability is always up-to-date.
- Conduct routine inspections of parts and processes for quality control.
What profile are we looking for?
Mandatory:
- Demonstrable knowledge of the inner workings of a mechanical manufacturing workshop.
- CNC programming and post-processing of previously generated programs.
- High school education certificate in mechanics or other technical degrees.
- At least 3 years of experience in operating CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions.
- Experience with corrective and preventive maintenance tools and procedures for machining equipment.
- Proficient in mechanical design computer tools, and ability to quickly adapt to new software environments.
Valuable:
- Knowledge of Mazak CV5/500 or equivalent machinery.
- Familiarity with Mazatrol or ISO SW languages.
- Med-High level of English for reading and writing, speaking is a plus.
- Experience in part finishing processes.
